The multi-instrument piano module is surprising in its range of controls for mic positioning, hammer and string characteristics and rooms – a plug-in collection in itself. The Jupiter 8 poly-synth has a “galaxy” module with a user-definable 2-dimensional LFO to add new effects to each voice. As you’d expect, the AAX plug-ins all go beyond the original specifications of the instruments, like polyphony for originally mono instruments, tons of premium effects, accompanying amp and room emulations, and some cool surprises. Here’s how they differ: While V Collection is a regular VST collection and comes with 24 synths and keyboards, Analog Lab is an interface with 6500 presets from those synths. Both seemed to be vintage synth bundles of some sort. Featuring sounds from all 21 faithfully modeled vintage keyboards, combining awe-inspiring sound with exceptional ease of use and awesome features. When I first looked into Arturia’s product line I was confused about the difference between Arturia Analog Lab and the Arturia V Collection. I cannot see any possibility to layer and add FX in AL V, and they cut back on presets compared to AL 4. Analog Lab gives you streamlined access to 550 of the hottest presets from Arturia’s award-winning V Collection.
Komplete or something, since thats another bundle that will likely go on sale at some point that also does a lot of things. I think Arturia realized they keep adding too many presets to Analog Lab with every new synth that comes along, making too great value. I think a better point of comparison might be V collection vs.

The line-up consists of 17 software instruments: Analog Lab, Synclavier V, B-3 V, Mini V, Piano V, Stage-73 V, Matrix-12 V, Farfisa V, Solina V, SEM V, Wurli V, Jup-8 V, ARP 2600 V, CS-80 V, Prophet V, VOX Continental V and Modular V. V collection does more than just traditional analog synths its got a DX, Synclavier, Buchla, Fairlight CMI, etc. The good thing, the new synths from V 7 came in limited versions with an Analog. As we’ll see, this is the software that allows you to manage the sounds from the entire collection behind one interface it takes the preset strain, basically.
On top of that, Analog Lab has been updated to V3.
Arturia analog lab vs v collection upgrade#
I was too lazy to upgrade as I had not enough time to get into Synths that are included. These are four new instruments: the Buchla Easel, V, Clavinet V, CMI (Fairlight) V and DX7 V. Each virtual instrument in the V Collection can be used as a stand-alone application or as a NKS (except Analog Lab,Mellotron V, Synthi V, CZ V and B-3 V). I recieved Analog Lab 4 + Analog Lab V for free. It includes Analog Lab and updates of it. Whether you want to use a MiniMoog or an ARP 2600, a glass piano or a VOX continental on the song you’re imagining, you can now pick and choose with no limits. I got it (bought during an Arturia sale long time ago).
